#MyMinistryin50Words (Part 2) @monaemiller

I asked my brother to help me with some marketing material for my next CD and he told me to describe my ministry in 50 words. I thought I would share this list because I think it helped me stay focused on my purpose in ministry. Here is Part 2 of 5.
11. Giving: I feel like sometimes I give of myself too much and sometimes not enough
12. Patient: I am willing to wait for my reward “I’m On My Way”
13. Radical: My ministry is definitely a catalyst for change.
14. Organized: I have a minor case of OCD. I admit it. I have a plan for my plan but it doesn’t always agree with God’s plan.
15. Godly: I am always striving to be that Proverbs 31 woman for my husband. @kymiller00
16. No boundaries: I am no longer bound by the opinions of others. Praise God for maturity.
17. Heavenly: When I describe my thoughts when they are on God I can only imagine divine worship.
18. Firm: If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. I’m standing on His promises.
19. Free: I praise God for the freedom of choice. There is so much power in your decisions.  I pray I choose wisely.
20. Soulful: My music is a direct reflection of how my soul connects with God.

#MyMinistryin50Words (Part 1) @monaemiller

I asked my brother to help me with some marketing material for my next CD and he told me to describe my ministry in 50 words. I thought I would share this list because I think it helped me stay focused on my purpose in ministry. Here is Part 1 of 5.
  1. Fun: I think I like to have fun praising God because a smile always make you feel better and allows you to open up
  2. Creative: I love to think outside the box and channel my true worship no matter how it looks
  3. Pure: It is a challenge to purify my thoughts for worship because there are so many impure influences
  4. Intimate: It is just a talk with God, an outpour of my heart
  5. Christian: I do believe Romans 8:9
  6. Relatable: My testimony is that of many sisters, daughters, wives, and girlfriends
  7. Emotional: Sometimes I cry, I get angry, I get sad, I worry, I get lonely but God…
  8. Loyal: Matthew 6:24 all day, everyday
  9. Loving: My worship is about Love, my relationships are bound by Love
  10. Simple: My guitar + my Love for Jesus = True Worship

Daniel Johnson – Why am I just now hearing of him?

I was doing my normal youtube browsing one day and I stumbled across a version of He Loves Us that I had never heard before. Come to find out it was the sweet sounds of Daniel Johnson from New Breed. As I did a little bit more research, I found out that he released a project in April. Where was I and why am I just now hearing of him? I love his tone and control of his voice. I think he just gained a new fan. It is one of the best Gospel R&B CDs I have heard in a while. Check out his CD on iTunes. Here is my fav track entitled “You Satisfy”.

Radio Interview on Gospel Sundays 105.7FM

Monae Miller and Antonio "AJ" Johnson

I had a great time with Antonio “AJ” Johnson this past Sunday on 105.7FM Gospel Sundays. He played my new single entitled “For Me” and he asked me about how there are new styles of Gospel music starting to catch on. My response was that I think people communicate with God differently and some people communicate using rap or an rnb sound but it all has the same message. This did cause me to do some google research though to satisfy my curiosity.

I found this music bible study by Liberty Bible Study and it really broke down how and when music was used in the bible. There are also key scriptures (Eph 5:19) that clearly show we should sing songs to give thanks and worship God. This does not necessarily substitute singing for hearing God’s word. I am sure that if your lyrical content is biblical you will still be spreading the Good News. I am wondering what other artists feel about this.

On a side note I want everyone to make sure you listen online here every Sunday from 6a-10a for great Gospel Music. You can even request my song online by going to http://krnb.com and entering my name and the name of my song. Thanks for your support.
